winter makeup

hello pretties! it's very late at night 2:50 in the morning... i know i should have gone to bed and that will be much helpful for my skin! but, i just felt like filming a skincare video it's all about my updated skincare routine before i start, i'd like to make sure that i can't guarantee that

things that i recommend would work for you it's a same story for makeup, too things that i don't like suit you? go ahead it's absolutely fine anyway, i hope that you find this video helpful! let's get started with cleansing like i've always been telling you, your cleansers always have to be gentle it should never be squeaky!

whatever your skin type is, including oily skin, if you dry out your skin with harsh, squeaky cleansers your natural, protective skin barrier simply breaks down your skin will produce even more oil to protect itself ultimately, you get more and more acne prone it's like a perfect playground for bacteria and things so, for my first cleanse to get rid of makeup or sunscreens i love non-foamy cleansing milk

or, i love using my homemade oil cleanser, which is simply made of natural plant oils and a natural emulsifier i firmly believe in natural oils! they are full of fatty acids, antioxidants and things that could reduce inflammation even though cleansers are cleansers, and doesn't remain on the skin anyway, i simply just love it!

i share it with my friends and family that was my first cleanse either an oil/milk to remove makeup and sunscreen you should do double cleanse even when you're only wearing a sunscreen extra tips for non-foamy cleansers like these! use cotton pads to make sure that everything is gone after you've worked with a cleanser, obviously or, you can also use flannel, washcloths

to make sure that your makeup is gone as long as you can keep it clean don't just put your face under the shower work with the cleanser, resolving everything it makes such a huge difference. do if you didn't then, my second cleanse again, it never should be squeaky i don't like anything too foamy i prefer non-foamy gel cleansers

for my second cleanse i mean, a little bit of foam is fine not every foamy cleasner is my enemy it's fine as long as it doesn't turn your face into a foam bath and makes your skin tight and squeaky avoid such harsh, drying cleansers this one is available on iherb.com it's affordable and parabens & fragrance free

it's a great option if money is an issue i keep repurchasing and simply love it it's also my morning cleanser on its own, when i don't need to do double cleanse after cleansing, i need acids only when i need them it's not for everyday it's one of my favorites, too this derma e one is also purchased at iherb it's affordable and a bottle lasts for a long time

it's an overnight peel with ahas, which is gentle enough for those who are new to aha it doesn't irritate nor dry out the skin, yet removes dead skin effectively there are plenty of different types of exfoliators either acids like aha, bha... or scrubs with grains i hardly use any types of scrubs sometimes when it's really hot in the summer

i've got stubbornly clogged pores around my nose that's when i need scrubs ocassionally anyway, i never scrub my face except that mostly, i use acids to exfoliate my skin however, acids should also be used carefully it's not for an everyday use listen to your skin and find out when you need some don't just blindly follow the instrucion it can be much less frequent

than what your product says just try to figure out when your skin needs it! it can be either once per weeks or once a week don't overuse it, which can result in more sensitivity so, we've cleansed and used acids then, i move onto a mist, spray hydrate this is a little sample that i'm loving at the moment it's simply a rose, floral water it's ridiculous to wipe off the skin again with a toner

when you've already used acids so, after my occasional acids, i spray-hydrate my skin or, i simply use an water essence to really wake my skin up! sometimes, when i feel a bit of residue on my skin, yet doesn't want any acids i use a toner with cotton pads nuxe white toner is generally good for it this one is quite famous. clinique clarifying lotion

it has a bit of alcohol it again, don't overuse any alcohol i use it only when my skin calls for it some people with really intolerant skin should avoid alcohol, i guess anyway, it's alcoholic yet not too harsh so i use it to remove extra residue on my skin especially during the dusty spring days, and hot, humid summer days

yet, when i don't need to acidic exfoliant it is quite useful for me for such purposes as long as i don't overuse it so, we've cleansed and exfoliated (when needed) also, i've talked about toner with cotton pads or you could go for a mist or water essence right after cleansing to wake up the skin anyway, these are what i do to prep my skin now, we're moving onto serums

serums, essences, ampoules... they're basically the same words there're some of my recent favorites of course, i don't use them all at once, it depends on whether it's am/pm or my desires to me, i use different types of serums for am/pm in the morning, i use a simple product usually a moisturizing, soothing serum here's my recent favorite,

klairs rich moist soothing serum let me show you the texture it's simply a gel, which feels cool on skin i love putting loads of such gel serums to really moisturize my skin without heavy oiliness in the evening, i prefer serums with active ingredients these are some recent favorites for evening it is my all time favorite, time control by 2sol it's loaded with niacinamide & astaxanthin,

which are anti-inflammation ingredients and great for my acne prone skin i just keep repurchasing it. i love it here's my another favorite it's a vitamin c serum by klairs its texture is a bit unique it seems like a simple, cooling gel but, on the skin, it kinda creates a shield you know that vitamin c could also be irritating

if you have intolerant skin, especially but for me, at least, this one doesn't cause any problem i'm not really precautious using it, yet it's still fine within the first few uses, i could really tell it works! my skin looked clearer in the morning, but, you know, it's simply a cosmetic after all it doesn't get any more dramatic beyond that anyway, it felt good to me and i'm still loving it

it didn't cause any acne i just love it as my night serum it's an empty, which i think i finished in the shortest time, ever! it's another gel-like serum like this one sometimes, i find anti-aging products too heavy for me but, this one isn't too heavy for my 20 something skin it really hydrates my dry skin instantly, very moisturizing without any oiliness

it doesn't make my wrinkles disappear, though i just love how cooling and moisturizing it feels on the skin! these are my evening favorites! this is my morning favorite! it says step2. serum, it's because i put it in the bathroom as i think it's an all-rounder for any skin types so i wanted my family to use it for their routine

after the serum, move onto a moisturizer it could be either a cream or lotion, whatever they name it physiogel is very well known to everyone it's big yet affordable, very cost effective it doesn't roll off my makeup and i use it both for am/pm it's moisturizing enough i think it's another all-rounder for many different skins

it's a lotion, not too heavy, yet it moisturizes like any other heavier creams and things it's my ultimate favorite the repair solution by 2sol i simply keep repurchasing this it has a lot of anti-inflammation ingredients and things to calm my irritated, annoyed skin i usually use it in the evening again, it's not too heavy

yet, has enough slip for me and is hydrating it's too good for my hands! so i'm just gonna massage it into my face! and 2sol never puts artificial fragrance, which i think is a great option for many people then, you can apply a layer of oil, balm where needed i love many different natural plant oils; jojoba, apricot kernel, grape seed, rosehip... i've tried many different oils out there

you can use any traditional plant oil that suits you they're not expensive yet very effective with lots of antioxidants and fatty acids however, especially when you're new to it you might find such traditional oils too heavy or not absorbing into your skin if you do that, go for a new generation! this one is from kiehl's usually, blended oils from mainstream brands

are more likely to be absorbed faster with less heavier texture this is one of those new generations of oils it's not a dry oil, which i think is sometimes meaningless it leaves a glowy finish like this yet, more fast-absorbing than traditional oils this is one of my all time favorites, too it's also affordable, bought at herb.com it's a balm

it's all natural with organic ingredients for many different uses i use it on my lips and any drier areas even on my face, where needed so, we've cleansed and sandwiched products! sometimes you might need a spot treatment this one is what i've told you in last skincare video it's my over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide google it. benzoyl peroxide,

it's an ingredients to treat acnes you can't use acids and benzoyl at the same time! too many active ingredients at once is never good whether it's an acid or benzoyl, i'd use it only in the evening such ingredients can increase sensitivity under the sun bear that in mind! we've cleansed, moisturized with layers, treated spots what else can we do? sunscreen!

i use two different types of sunscreen for myself one is 100% mineral sunscreen made out of mineral filters (obviously...) the other is my pre-makeup sunscreen when it comes to mineral sunscreen, i'm loving this mambino sunscreen it's sold under a different name in korea mineral daily summer cream... i don't know why i'm not sure if it's still available in korea,

as people commented that it's all sold out online i'm not sure but maybe it's temporarily sold out anyway, it's a 100% mineral sunscreen its texture is great for a mineral sunscreen (usually heavy and leaves white cast, you know) it doesn't roll off on the skin and not very sticky i love it! it's made of only natural ingredients it's originally for babies, and it didn't cause any acne i use it when i'm not wearing makeup

rather than under my makeup when you just feel like putting nothing on your face! i just slap on it and that's it! so, that was for my makeup free day! here's another mineral sunscreen that i've found recently it was an extra deluxe sample that comes with the actual product anyway, it's called super shield sunblock, bright skin

it's also a mineral sunscreen with higher spf this one can be worn under makeup it doesn't roll off makeup and not too thick it has a skin-toned tint in it, which i think is a great option if you have a good skin and doesn't need much coverage if you only need a little bit of evening-out effect this will be great as your sole spf+base

when i put my makeup on the first place, i'd just grab any sunscreen with a good texture whether it's a mineral sunscreen/chemical sunscreen... it has to be a good base for any foundation on it and it's usually a liquid one like this just for your information, it might not be available in your region as asian beauty market is all about whitening, this nuxe white sunscreen

might not be sold in your country brightening, whitening is such a big thing in asia! though sold by an international company, you know when i need something extra special, i'd go for korean mask sheets actually, most mask sheets and packs in korea have become generally quite good, after all those years simply just find a right product that suits you anyway, here are my recent favorites

this was a gift from my friend it's a one-of-a-kind it's sorta like a gel mask, yet much thicker the formula feels very concentrated when my skin is extremely dehydrated and devastated, i find it very helpful and moisturizing it feels a bit rich and nourishing, so i'd say it's good for dry skin here's another favorite, polatam masks

these are for soothing and moisturizing, rather than nourishing sheets are very soft & thin, thus really stay in place these were my recent favorite korean sheet masks, for occasional uses let's talk about diet and supplements! what you eat and enough amount of sleep is actually the most important facts before i talk about supplements,

let me briefly mention about diet sugar. it increases inflammation in your body! you're more likely get more acnes and things avoid white foods; refined flour and grain you'd better stick to more natural, raw foods like brown rice and whole grain avoid fried foods, too it could be oxidized oils and bad fats are never good to be honest, i can't really stick to it healthy diet

i'm a foodie and i'm not a picky eater but, at least, when i eat at home, i try to use good ingredients like whole grain pastas brown rice pastas are my favorites, it's harder to consider everything when you eat out also, sometimes i treat myself to healthy foods like tomato bean soup... that's how i'm trying for my skin and body!

even though it's occasional let's move onto supplements! it also really depends on each individual you could never know if it's gonna work for you until you actually try it but, for me, certain supplements have helped my skin and i'm trying to stick to them i'm very acne prone and different types of dermatitis

simply any kinds of inflammatory reaction probiotics. it's affordable and i take it regularly once/twice a day this is one that i keep repurchasing let me show you how it looks... veggie caps. a quick note for probiotics; usually, probiotics have to be refrigerated otherwise, they'd degrade quickly

also, you should take it on your empty stomach i take it right after i wake up or before i go to bed as the caps are small, it's easier to swallow fish oil/omega-3 is a must! you can use flax, but fish is much more effective it's affordable for its quality content all my supplements are available at iherb.com if it has to be a quality fish oil, epa + dha has to be more than 600mg / cap

this one is 750 in total caroline hirons has been a big inspiration for me to include these two to my supplements routine she is my favorite skincare expert she highly recommends taking fish oil and probiotics especially if you're acne prone like me go check out her blog! vitamin c powder also has been my routine though i can't stick to it daily,

as it's really sour! i'm supposed to take about 3 times a day it's simply a powder and as i mentioned, it's hard to swallow! i think it works for me, as it's one of antioxidants when i take it regularly for weeks, it's different from when i stop taking my skin looks clear and feels better multiple isn't my must

though i've been taking it these days it's also from iherb.com sorry! i'm addicted i used to take alive multiple, but i've switched to it it's also very cost effective, and the ingredients are safe a pill is smaller and rounder than alive's, so it's easier for me to swallow i post reviews about what i purchase at iherb on my blog (sorry, it's in korean)

(i'll try to keep you updated on my instagram!) one last thing i want to talk about is self-esteem! don't be too obsessed with your skin it's good to take care of your skin and have a self-sufficient ritual every day however, no matter how much i try, i can never be someone with naturally great skin i mean, i'm not blessed with great skin this is who i am, with the best i can try at home

without any clinical treatment by far also, don't be fooled by commercials and celebrities they're absolutely flawless! they've got their own makeup artists, they've got crew for flattering lighting and shooting ultimately, it's all gonna be heavily photoshopped, too! they're all made by crew from head to toe don't let those processed images let you down you can feel and look better with a little bit of makeup

and that's enough! well, it's been a long rambling one, and i hope you find it helpful share your top skincare tips below! see you!
